Obesity causes many health issues for many people. There are far more people with obesity health issues than in previous decades. Many people are eating on the run and quick meals that are often full of empty calories and unhealthy. In addition, people are not having time to exercise in their hectic and busy lifestyles.

One of the obesity health issues is heart problems. Studies have shown that people with obesity issues often have bad cholesterol levels in their bloodstreams. Bad cholesterol clogs up the arteries and can be very dangerous causing strokes, heart attacks and other complications. Dealing with the weight issues is important to alleviate the cholesterol issues.

Poor circulation is a problem with people that are obese. The body is having to carry around a lot of additional weight. This puts strain on the circulatory system and decreases its effectiveness. Poor circulation can lead to other health complications.

Circulation and heart problems are not the only obesity health issues. Another problem is high blood pressure. High blood pressure can cause many health complications and is very dangerous. One needs to regulate the type of foods that are consumed. Caffeine, pork and high salt foods should be avoided not only to help maintain weight but to reduce the severity of high blood pressure complications.

Diabetes is higher among obese people then average weight people. There is a higher level of insulin that is needed to maintain sugar levels with obese diabetics. Some people start on the glucose control pills to end up on insulin because of obesity. Maintaining a healthier nutritional lifestyle would decrease the chances of going on insulin. In addition it lowers the amount of insulin needed for patients that are able to get their weights under control.

Obesity is not the same as being over-weight. Some over-weight people also develop the same health problems. And some very "skinny" people can get high cholesterol. Eating disorders can stem from cultures that likened heavy to healthy encouraging over ingestion of calories. Poor people often are limited in buying power to purchase healthier foods which can lead to obesity. Change is work, and I would suggest that obese people concentrate on losing those extra pounds the way they put them on~a little at a time.
