Most of us are now days seeking a second career or looking for alternative ways to make more money; legally of course. If you have a talent, you work to enhance that talent and hopefully use your expertise to help supplement your main source of income. Sometimes, those areas we find solace in, can at times become very profitable business endeavors. One of the areas I refer to is the area of Photography.

Oftentimes, businesses totally rely on the expertise of photography to get their message across to potential customers. Individuals using photography as a hobby have sometimes been solicited for advertising features, cover pictures to magazines, inserts within magazines, etc. Some of us however, would like to sell those pictures we have acquired, but just don't know how to go about starting.

Let's see if I can offer you some help and a few tips in this area. There are so many resources available which can provide you with guidance on selling your digital photos, but I love doing my research on the internet. The key is finding a site which has someone who has the expertise. I found some great information at www.malektips.com. A Portfolio of your work - It would be wise and well worth your money to invest in establishing a portfolio of your work. "A picture is worth a thousand words". Why not let your talent speak in pictures.

Always have your digital camera with you - You never know when you will walk up on or drive into that perfect picture. With your camera in hand at all times, you will be ready when the scene is one that makes you want to just turn flips. Be ready to capture those images at all times.

Business cards - Pick a name, attach a unique photo and there you are. You have a card you can pass at when the need arises with a sample of your work. At any time, you may meet someone who needs a photographer or may need the pictures you have right away. Be ready with all the information needed to get the job.

Be Selective - Determine the need. Show the client only those pictures appropriate for the client's needs. Don't push too hard. Your work will speak for you!
