Horry Suspension Proves NBA is Run by Pansies and Complete Imbeciles

Rules Created by Idiots and Enforced by Jerks

Yesterday's suspensions in response to Robert Horry's reckless, dangerous and vicious knockdown of Steve Nash in Monday night's NBA playoff game (between the Suns and Spurs) were so absurd and ridiculous, it simply demonstrates what nincompoops and fools men
like David Stern and Stu Jackson really are. To give "Horrible" Horry only a two game suspension when he had brazenly flattened Steve Nash without reason, potentially injuring one the league's best players, mind you, after the game's outcome had been decided, is totally unforgivable. It's not even a slap on the wrist. Even the NHL, where in game fighting has been condoned to some degree, has much harsher penalties for such a flagrant act of violence.

I guess the people who run the National Basketball Association think that the fans are stupid. Perhaps David Stern figures that we don't mind a little ruthless and totally unjustified violence. Apparently Stu Jackson and the other patsies who make decisions in the NBA can bend their rules how ever they please, and then state that such regulations are perfectly clear and must be enforced.

Let me explain to them, and anyone else who might not see the obvious reality why they are total hypocrites. I refer to the fact that two of the Pheonix Suns' best players were suspended for one game each, while emotionally unstable Horry must sit out only two games. If the rule is that players on the bench must not enter the playing area in response to an "altercation" then I guess it doesn't matter who causes that altercation, or what he does, or how he does it, or when he does it. If you cross on to the playing field you will be punished. Oh, and yes, the person who caused the possible fracas to occur, whether he tries to kill you, cripple you or make it impossible for you to conceive children, we'll give him a little warning as well.

L., didn't mean to infer that you were against freedom of speech. We are on the same page. L.

Its the playoffs. Nobody should have been suspended. I didn't think Horry's shove was a big deal as I'm sure Nash embellished a lot of it and I certainly think the "leave-the-bench" rule was ridiculous in this case. Let the players decide the outcome on the court, is that so hard?

David Stern is the most powerful commissioner is sports, though the NFL is quickly catching up. To say that he has a shmuck for enforcing a rule that has been established and followed closely for a decade with little complaint is ludicrous. If you did watch the game and you saw Amare Stoutemire begin to make his way over you can see that his intentions were not to help Steve Nash up off of the floor. His gut reaction was to, in a manner of speaking, split Robert Horry's Wig. He no doubt deserved it. That withstanding, Amare knows the rules and Boris Diaw did as well. Boris shouldn't have been suspended by Amare had no chance--he even lied and said he was just trying to check in, proof that his intentions were brazen.

It is not that we are cry babies, we aer doing what we can to help AC gain a better reputation. The word, "pansies," can get you in trouble in the corporate world, it should not be allowed here. That fact is that many people consider, "pansies," as a derogatory word. AC, and it's Content Producers should respect that. "God," is not a derogatory word. L.

The push was not meant to remove the article from the front page. This sissue was that the title needed to be edited. I am a strong beleiver in the Freedom of Speech. There are just certain words that are not to be used because they may offend some people. I may not always like that fact, but it is a fact of life. L.

My God people. Oh wait, i cant say God because it might offend one of you... I am sick of all these people that try and get things removed because it might offend someone. Grow some skin and stop being whiny babies.

I wouldn't want to see it removed as I do value freedom of speech. Although I wish that we were more enlightened than this, the word "Pansies" is probably not as objectionable as the other words which could have been used that are far less acceptable today. By the way, where is Ann Coulter?

While the article is good, I question why AC would allow a title that could be offensive to some people. L.

Richelle, thank you for making me smile and strengthening my hope that there is yet sanity, reason, and intelligence out there somewhere. 'Pansies' has been used for decades to describe supposed non-masculine and gay males. It's use here is clear and unortunate. When I saw the title I hated to give the article a page view, but curiosity and mild surprise got the best of me. Now, I'll just sit back and wait for the beer bellied, belching buddies to throw their spit wads. It shouldn't take long.

By 'pansies", I guess you mean non-manly men, gays, or the like?
