Albertville is a small town in Alabama that has a steady population of around 17,247 people. It offers visitors and residents a comfortable summer climate. You should expect temperatures to remain in the 70s throughout the summer, with a few hotter days thrown in. While you are visiting this area make sure that you make plans to tee off at the Highlands Oaks - Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.
Step 2: Plan Where to Stay
You have a lot of lodging options available to you on your Albertville summer vacation. First of all you can stay at one of the local hotels. In Albertville you can select from the James Inn and the Microtel Inn and Suites. If you can't find a hotel room in Albertville then you can travel 4 miles to Guntersville. Here you can select from the Holiday Inn, the Guntersville-Days Inn, and the Guntersville Lake Super 8 Motel.
If you don't want to stay at a hotel then you have a great selection of campgrounds and RV parks to choose from. The closest campgrounds include the Honeycomb Campgrounds, the Lake Guntersville State Park, and the Riverview Campground. If you will be bringing your RV with you then you may want to travel 12 miles to the Barclay RV Parking Site.
Step 3: Plan Where to Go and What to See
There really isn't an established trail system close to Albertville, Alabama. If you are interested in hiking during your summer vacation then you will need to do a little driving. One of the closest hiking trails that you can use is located 50 miles away in Franklin County, Tennessee. It is the Winding Stairs Trail System. Other trail systems located within an hour and a half of Albertville include: Odum Trail, River Mont Cave Historical Trail, and Borden Creek Trail.
