Stroke Symptom - Numbness In The Extremities
One of the first stroke symptoms that you may notice is that there will be a sudden numbness in the face, arms, and legs of the person who may be having the stroke. Most of the time this numbness will be on just one side of the body. The reason this happens, is because it is usually either the right or left side of the brain that is affected by a sudden blood rush to the brain or the lack of oxygen.
Stroke Symptom - Confusion Reigns Supreme
Another symptom that you may notice, is that the person who may be having a stroke will suddenly become confused. This could be the person having trouble speaking or understanding who they are and what they are doing. This situation can lead to some real trouble, because many people will begin to panic. Do all that you can to calmly reassure the person that they will be OK and that you are there to help them.
Stroke Symptom - Loss of Balance
For the person experiencing a stroke, the brain is affected in so many different ways. A stroke sufferer may lose their balance or experience a complete and unexplained loss of coordination. We're not talking about a clumsy person, but rather someone who seems to be losing all sense of coordination. This person may not be able to stand, sit or even grasp your hand. If you are with a person who exhibits this sudden symptom, do all that you can to get them immediate health care assistance.
Stroke Symptom - Migraine Above All Migraines
One of the most common stroke symptom is a sudden and severe headache, which many might classify as a migraine. This extreme pain, which can be in any number of areas in the head, can be completely debilitating, leading to some of the other stroke symptom from above. If you or someone you are with experiences a sudden migraine, which quickly debilitates the person, they may be having a stroke.
