I recently started a new blog at blogger.com. In addition to Blogger being a well-known blog community, the blog layouts are easily customizable with a number of different templates and page elements. One of the page elements that I have found to be a huge help at Blogger is the Labels feature. Here are just a couple of the benefits to adding labels to your Blogger blog. How it Works
Once you have opened an account at Blogger and have set up a blog, you will have the ability to add a number of different page elements which change the look, feel, and functionality of your blog. From the dashboard page, you will see a "Manage Your Blogs" box, and in the bottom right-hand corner of that box is a link to edit the layout of your blog page.
Once on the layout page, it is as simple as clicking to add a page element, choosing the elements that appeal to your needs, and then arranging them within the template with an easy click/drag motion.
If you have chosen the Labels element, you will notice a small change when you make a new blog entry. At the bottom of the entry text field, there will be a spot for you to add labels to that specific entry, based on the content that you have just written. If, for example, you have just written an entry about the benefits of adding labels to your blog, you are going to add several of the keywords that you used several times in your entry (labels, blog, benefits, layout, elements, and so on).
User-friendly Navigation
Once you have written your blog entry, entered a number of labels for that entry, and then published it, looking at the front-end view of your blog (the way that outside readers will see it) will show you the label add-on at work. Look at your blog in the spot where you chose to have the labels listed, and you will see a list of labels that you just used to classify the blog entry you just made.
