Hitachi 51F59 - 51" Rear Projection TV
Great TV for the Money
I recently bought a Hitachi 51F59 - 51" rear projection TV and I couldn't be happier with my new big screen TV. You get a huge viewing area, great picture, and lots of inputs with many different types of connection to choose from. This is the best TV for the money on the market.I bought my Hitachi 51F59 - 51" rear projection TV for $550 at Bestbuy when they were having a sale and trying to unload their stock before they got the new version of the TV in. I got one hell of a deal but even at regular price which is
The TV display is great, nice sharp picture with great color and very little defects. However at some sharp angles the display does seem a little darker than normal but that is to be expected with a rear projection TV. If you do buy the TV I suggest getting some good quality S-video cables, Component cables, or even HDMI cables. I got the S-Video Monster Cables and they are working great and made the picture even better than before.
I also suggest you refocus your TV when you get it home, do this by using the Automatic (Magic Focus) button let it run through its process and then do the 9 point and 117 point manual focus programs. I set my TV to 16:9 formats since my cable box supports it and so does the TV, after focusing the TV it looked amazing. Using the manual focus option helps a lot but it is time consuming and tedious. Going through the processes will make your display a lot sharper though.
The TV has a wide variety of settings that you can change and plenty of inputs for all of your audio/visual devices. I have two DVD players, my cable box, my Wii, and my surround sound all hooked into the TV, and all work flawlessly. I don't like that you have to manually scroll through each of the 6 inputs and click the select button to change between them, I wish it was just click a button and it switched sources. The settings menus are intuitive and easy to, the TV is easy to setup and works great.
