Frankenmuth is a town in Michigan, which retains the Bavarian charm of the German's who settled there in 1845. The town celebrates it's German character, with Bavarian Style festivals and the German architecture of the buildings. Visitors come to Frankenmuth from around the Great Lakes region, and beyond, to enjoy the old world ambiance.

Frankenmuth is about 300 miles northeast of Chicago and 90 miles north of Detroit, and make a great weekend destination.

The Bavarian Inn has a Glockenspiel Tower that houses a magnificent 35 bell carillon, which is a beautiful figurine movement imported from Germany. Family style meals include Frankenmuth Chicken, and combination meals. German Dinners include Rouladen, Schnitzel Plates and Sauerbraten. AAA Two Diamond.

Riverfront dining in "Michigan's Little Bavaria". The historic brewery was first built in 1862 and operated as one of Michigan's largest breweries until it was destroyed by tornado in 1996. The building was rebuilt in 2003, with remnants of the old brewery on display throughout.. the brewery crafts award wining lagers and ales in the German style. The menu features appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, chicken, fish, pasta, beef and pork. Entrees include Grilled Pork chop, Wiener Schnitzel, Filet Mignon, Bavarian Farmer's Platter, BBQ Ribs, Sauerbraten Sirloin, New York Strip, Herb-Roasted Prime Rib and Meatloaf. There is a Kid's menu. Fine wines are served by the glass or by the bottle. AAA Two Diamond.
