Counter Strike De_Dust2 Strategy Guide

If you're one of the thousands of Counter Strike players who's tired of getting beat every round on the map we know as de_dust2, there is hope. You're about to learn some of the best strategies to help you and your team win if you're just playing for fun or scrimmaging.

Start Out Sniping

Before the round starts, buy a sniper rifle whether you're on the terrorist or counter-terrorist team, and this strategy is really only open to one player at a time to be efficient. After making sure you've bought your weapon before the freeze time is up, go and run behind the double doors and peer through the crack with your scope if you're on the counter terrorist team. What you'll be able to do is shoot anyone coming through two of the main entries and not have to worry about any other direction attacks for at least a minute.

For those on the terrorist team, you start out right beside where the double door crack is, so you've got the advantage rather than a narrow shot. Grab your sniper rifle and run to the position where you can see through the double doors and either sit and wait for a few seconds for people to run by, or to see a sniper from the opposing team looking back at you. This strategy is quick and efficient for either team and leads to a quick kill.

Split Up

If you're on the counter-terrorist team on the Counter Strike map de_dust2, you need to split up to even your odds to about 50-50. This makes it easier to find and defuse the bomb, but it comes with its share of problems. If this terrorist team is smart, they'll stick together and plant the bomb where they can all cover it. To be efficient and finish the job with only half of your team, you should each carry a grenade and wait for the beautiful sound of foot steps to come running around the corner. On both ends, you have a wall and you have an entrance to a building so if you've been waiting a while and hear absolutely nothing, throw in a flash bang grenade to blind your enemy and charge in. Carrying grenades and using them efficiently will always set you up for the win as it hits more people and does quick and efficient damage.
