Save Money on Gas

Several ways you can save money on gas because prices are soaring out of control and a lot of people need to cut back on certain needs in their life. You may need to cut back on other items just to pay for gas. Gas prices
are really getting out of control. You can find several ways to save money.

You can start by carpooling. If you can find someone you know or some people going the same direction or the same job or recreation, during the same tine, that would be great. You can take turns driving your own cars, so no one person feel he or she is pulling more of the weight of driving their car. if your kids have after school activities with other school kids, check with other parents to trade driving to the practices or the games. Each parent can save money on gas by leaving their vehicle parked while someone else take their children. You could even carpool with them to the games and/or practices. This good be a good way to make a good friend, also.

Save some money by using public transportation. You do not have to worry about gas prices while using public transportation. You do not have to worry about the traffic, that is the driver problem. Just lay back and relax, you might be able to take a nap, if possible on public transportation. You might can save more money by paying for your ride in advance, like bus cards. By taking public transportation you can also read a books or magazines. You could finish a project you couldn't earlier.

I know some people say they buy gas at the closest gas station. If they are in the left or right lane, they will buy gas that is the closest. Sometimes you should realize maybe the gas across the street or a couple of streets over may have cheaper gas. You may think a couple of pennies difference is no big deal. Well, think again, if you calculate how much money in a year or two you could have save by purchasing the cheaper gas. The total may surprise you. Take notes how much gas cost as you are driving back and from work or wherever. Check to see who has the cheapest gas ahead of time. This could save you some money and time when you need to purchase gas.
