In order to communicate and voice their opinions, dogs bark which to them is talking in their own language. To them perhaps, we seem to be yapping some nonsense all the time nonstop which may be a nuisance to them. At the same time, when dogs start to excessively bark at every moment in time, we find it disturbing our peace, and as humans, we find a way to solve the problem. Thanks to technology and the advances in society, there are now three different types of anti-bark collar available on the market each designed especially to stop a dog from barking teaching them the value of peace and quiet. Each type of the device is safe for the dog to use, and normally sold in pet stores near you. Of course, each of the collars is operated by battery power, and has their own features and options of preventing dogs from excessive barking.

First off, let me introduce to you the Citronella bark collar. Basically citronella is a plant which is normally used as the base in perfume making industries. Although the citronella may not affect us much, to dogs they seem to find that citronella is a strong smell, and try to avoid getting in contact with it. The Citronella bark collar is electronic, and basically sprays citronella onto a dog's muzzle when the dog barks. Because dogs do not like anything about citronella, they will do their best to avoid getting sprayed in the face by it.

Next us, we have e-collars. E-collars are exactly like their name. E stands for electronic which means that not only is this collar battery operated, they also shock the dog whenever it tries to make a sound. The electronic shock is mere and small, and does not carry any harm to your dog at all; however, it does successfully grab its attention, and divert its yapping into something more efficient. Basically, the e-collar works by sending vibration signals to the dog every time it wants to go for a scratch. Before long, the dog will general realize that a shock is associated with their barking.
