Attention all spa junkies! If you're looking for a way to bring the spa experience home, look no further than your own bathroom. You may be wondering how to accomplish this feat if you live in a small apartment, or have limited funds to finance a complete bathroom renovation.

As we all know, the bathroom is one of the most important rooms of the house. It is often the only place in the world where women (especially) are able to obtain complete privacy. Creating a home spa in the bathroom is a wonderful way to recreate the feeling of visiting a fancy spa. Doing so is much easier than you think.

"HARDWARE"

One of the major things that will complete your bathroom spa experience is a relaxing dip in your own personal whirlpool. But you need not remodel your bath, or fumble with the plumbing. For under $150 or so, you can transform your bathtub into a jacuzzi retreat with an "Instant Whirlpool Bath" mat manufactured by Hammacher Schlemmer. This padded mat contains 300 individual jets and spreads out along the length of your tub for supreme comfort, and is connected to an air pump by a nine-foot hose. It is a waterproof device (with waterproof remote) that gently massages and soothes while you're in the bath. One hundred dollars may seem like a bit much to spend for a bathroom accessory. But that price pales in comparison to the cost of replacing/remodeling your actual tub.

If you don't wish to go all out for the whirlpool, grab a massaging bath pillow by Prestika. This pillow which costs around $30 is waterproof and battery operated; it contains suction cups for adhering to the tub. You'll reap some of the same benefits as a whirlpool bath. Turn your bathroom into a deluxe sanctuary by adding a portable foot massager. These are sold in many retail home supply stores, and can cost anywhere from $30 to $90. And don't forget your facial. Conair's facial steamer system is a wonderful addition to any "home spa." These are relatively inexpensive as well.
