Lancome is known for their mascara and provides many types that lengthen, add volume, and define. Its Definicils mascara has been a long time favorite because of its clump-free application and the resulting definition it gives to lashes. But the reigning lengthening mascara has a new contender. Originally from Japan, blinc's Kiss Me Mascara is now available in the States and its advanced formulation could give Lancome and other high-end lengthening mascaras some stiff competition. With its "tubing" effect and oil-free formulation, Kiss Me Mascara could be the next big thing in mascaras.

Both Definicils and Kiss Me Mascara define and lengthen lashes. However, the mascaras differ in application, wear, removal, and product lifespan.

With Definicils, application is easy. The formulation and brush eliminate clumping and the mascara dries quickly. Any mistakes made during application can be removed with a cotton swab or tissue. Multiple coats can also be applied until the user is satisfied. Those with drier skin will find Definicils more to their liking than those with oily skin because of the mascara's tendency to smudge and leave the wearer with "raccoon eyes." And even though the mascara wears well, it is not waterproof. Swimmers and those who workout with mascara on will need to look elsewhere. Removal is a little more difficult. Most will find it necessary to use an eye makeup remover product. And for the price, the product lifespan could leave more to be desired because it dries out relatively quickly.

As for blinc's Kiss Me Mascara, the revolutionary non-oil-based formula requires some patience during application because all coats must be made before the mascara dries. Mistakes made during application can also be difficult to remove since the mascara only comes off with water and pressure. In this case, a dampened cotton swab or cloth. Nevertheless, the formula and brush allow for a clump-free application.
