Robinella's New Album, Solace for the Lonely

Raised in Tennessee by a highly musical family, Robinella definitely reaches above and beyond her musical background. Her current sound has reached a level that is indescribable in the music industry. Robinella grew up singing in the church where her father was the song leader. She also attended Knoxville University as an Art major, where she met her husband and co-writer, Cruz Contreras. In college they formed the bluegrass band, Stringbeans, with a few of their classmates. After college, Robinella and Cruz got married and formed Robinella and the CCstringband. Robinella and Cruz began incorporating jazz elements into their country sound. Her new album, Solace for the Lonely, delightfully demonstrates her creativity and talent.

Break it Down Baby, is an excellent track on Solace for the Lonely. The song has a predominantly jazzy feel. Robinella’s voice is absolutely satisfying to the listeners’ ear in this song. Break it Down Baby is absolutely soothing. Come Back My Way definitely shows off the instrumental skills of the group. Featuring a mandolin in this and several other songs adds a new appeal to the jazzy sound. The vocals in Come Back My Way sound like a mixture of Shania Twain, Nora Jones, and Macy Gray. Fall in Love as Much as I Can is a very jazzy song with an old timey feel. Robinella sounds absolutely classy in this song.
