Worth the Price, or All Hype?

Many have seen the tower 200 advertised on late night television, and it almost looks too good. Skepticism in regard to products that are sold on TV and promise incredible results is completely reasonable. Often late
night infomercials are little more than vehicles to sell inferior products to impulse buyers. There are, however, products out there that come close to meeting their hype with equal quality. In this review, we will look at the body by Jake tower 200 and see where it really ranks in quality.

First off, let's look at one of the main selling points and marketing techniques associated with this product: Randy Couture. Yes this product is endorsed by none other than MMA superstar Randy Couture! Does that matter at all? NO! If you want to buy a product like this because of a celebrity paid endorsement, you should really rethink it. It's a new product that played no part in Couture getting where he is. Using the Tower 200 will not turn you into him. That does not mean, however, that the product does not have value. Let's look at what you get when you order this product.

What you have is a basic resistance band cable system that attaches to your door and allows for multiple different exercises. There are three color coded bands on each side, each one with its own level of resistance. Gray: 25 lbs, Black: 35 lbs, Red: 40 lbs. Two hand grips are included and can be linked to any one chord or multiple ones for higher resistance. Hand grips can be linked at the top of the unit for pull down type exercises, or at the bottom for military press type movements. One pair of ankle straps are also included and can be attached the same way as the hand grips. Additionally, an exercise chart and DVD accompany the unit to provide examples and workout plans.

horrible customer service is the big isue with this company ordered last night then read the reviews today decided its not for me and called right back.... the customer service is horrible all i got was a lady screaming at me telling me i do not care about my health at all and trying to force me to justify my reason for canceling my order it was more or less badgering and badgering to try to get me to buy when i told her multiple times that i do not want the product
Thanks everyone for your honest evaluations as my brother and I were going to order two one for each of our households. I am disappointed that he would sell something built so cheaply. We will stick to our weights.
Thanks for all the reviews - based on them I will not buy and stick with my local gym for 15 bucks a month. Thanks folks for posting your reviews. Jer.
thanks for the info i will not buy this product till i hear that these problems have been addressed.big resistent work out lover have em all but not this one . can't believe randy would sell out on a cheaply built product
I am so thankful that customer comments are allowed on various websites. More than likely I would be experiencing the same problems/frustrations as other TOWER 200 customers, if there where no comments posted. Sorry for all wasted money, and time, but thanks for saving me the headache.
One of my pullys broke on the first pull. Then the company would not respond for my request to have it replaced. Warranty (assuming no defects such as mine) only covers the frame, not the cable or pullys with are the moving parts, made of plastic, and most likely to brake.
Mine broke within a week.. things a piece
I just want to say thank you to all who gave there opinions and comments. I am grateful that i was able to read all of your comments and make a strong decision based on everyone's comments and experiences with the Tower 200. And of course i did not buy, and instead i will join my local city gym. Once again thanks!!
I was lucky enough to buy it from a retailer versus Body By Jake, however the first one that I had broke within four days and snapped a piece that my wife heard hit the ceiling when I was working out down stairs. I took it back and got another one thinking it was potential just a defective item. The second one lasted three days when the plastic pulley piece on the bottom broke. I then called customer service at Body By Jake to explain my frustration on 1-26 and spoke to a gentleman by the name of Caesar who was very unhelpful. I even asked him if they were concerned that they were selling a faulty product that could potentially cause injury. He stated that the retailer may have potentially just gotten some faulty Towers and to try the item one more time. I took the second gym back and exchanged it for my third gym and tonight was working out when the pulley sysem and one of the attachments snapped and the plastic piece hit me in the face. This Tower is a piece of crap. I will b
what a piece of junk. mine broke after a month and now they want to charge me to replace the piece of junk they sold me. dont buy isnt that great of a work out anyway
