Nausea! Ahh, who hasn't had it. It comes in the form of a stomach bug, or accepted as part of pregnancy. We get nauseas when we see or smell something foul. It's that warm grumble in your stomach that makes it hard to speak with out gagging. Am I being descriptive enough? I think we are all truly very used to being nauseas from time to time. Even worse though, we may believe that there is still nothing that we can do to relive it. Outside of peptobismol and a few other over the counter medicines we are not left with much choice but to deal with it. Well, I have found some really good home remedies that really work to relieve nausea and vomiting. As a matter of fact, most of this stuff is inexpensive, and can be kept on hand so your medicine "pantry" has the necessities to ward off your next nausea bug.
First comes my favorite; Cola syrup. I have never heard of this before until my mother in law swore by it so much, she bought me a bottle. Yeah, we are so reluctant to take the wise couple of our in laws, and you know there's a good chance they are right! Coal syrup can be bought at most drug stores of pharmacies, or on line. The best thing is it has no medicine in it at all. It is literally the substance that makes cola beverages. Because of this, however, diabetics are warned not to take it. It is very sugary. It smells just like cola, and taste like an overly concentrated form of it, because hey, that's what it is.
Cola syrup is highly effective in battleing=ing nausea, upset stomach, and vomiting. I have found that as soon as I give it to my 4 year old, he is able to relax with little to no vomiting after wards. It doesn't taste gross, so kids and adults can take it without adding an extra gag. Read the directions on the bottle. The typical direction is 1-2 tablespoons over crushed ice, sip slowly.
