Woman Says Satan Told Husband to Microwave Their Baby
According to Fox News, Eva Marie Mauldin, 20, of Galveston, Texas, says that the devil forced her husband, Joshua Royce Mauldin, 19 years old, to microwave their daughter.
She says that Satan disapproved of Joshua Mauldin's goal and efforts to become a religious preacher. Eva Mauldin reportedly told reporters of a local Houston TV station, KHOU-TV, that "Satan saw my husband as
a threat...Satan attacked him because he saw (Joshua) as a threat."
Joshua on the other hand, mentioned nothing of the devil or being compelled by a supernatural force to microwave their daughter. He told police that he put his and Eva's daughter in the microwave simply because he was under a lot of stress at the time. Eva denies Joshua's stress story saying "He would never do anything to hurt
While Eva may be defending her husband, courts will most likely not buy a word of her story about the devil, especially since Joshua has his own story of why he decided to microwave the baby girl.
A grand jury in a Texas court room indicted Joshua Royce Mauldin. The jury said that the charges of child endangerment and neglect, and his crime itself were much more than horrific. Evidence showed that Joshua Mauldin placed his and Eva's 2-month-old daughter into a motel microwave for about 10 to 20 seconds. Luckily the child is alive and well, and not in the custody of either of her parents'.
The little 2-month-old girl, Ana Marie Mauldin, is currently in the hospital under stable conditions. Due to being microwaved for the previously stated length of time, she suffered severe burns on the left side of her body, including her hand and her face. The little girl was also lucky to not have brain damage caused by the microwaves emitted when it was on.
