While shopping at the local mall many women stop by both Bath and Body Works and Victoria's Secret for fragrance and body care items. Both stores offer many lovely fragrances in various products. Both Bath and Body Works and Victoria's Secret carry popular vanilla scents. Bath and Body Works carries Warm Vanilla Sugar while Victoria's Secret carries Vanilla Lace.

Bath and Body Works's Warm Vanilla Sugar and Victoria's Secret's Vanilla Lace are lovely fragrances loved by many women. Both scents are safe gift choices for woman of any age who love vanilla or sweet scents. But the scents are very different from each other. Many women will love both fragrances, but some may prefer one over the other. Both fragrances heavily feature vanilla.

If you think all vanilla scents smell the same, you haven't smelled very many vanilla fragrances. In the world of fragrance vanilla scents differ greatly from each other in each product line and even within each product line. Vanilla is not just vanilla, it can smell wildly different with a different feel and mood to each scent. Bath and Body Work's Warm Vanilla sugar is warmer and more sensual than Victoria's Secret's Vanilla Lace which is softer and a more natural vanilla. Personally I love both scents.

Bath and Body Works's Warm Vanilla Sugar contains the following notes:

Top Notes: Sheer Florals, Vanilla Absolute Fragrance

Middle Notes: Basmati Rice, Coconut, Vanilla Absolute Fragrance

Base Notes: Vanilla Absolute, Heliotrope, Musk, Veltol, Sandalwood

The vanilla note is dominant over the other notes in Bath and Body Works's Warm Vanilla Sugar. This is not a vanilla extract or true vanilla type scent. It is a very rich vanilla, but not it is not "buttery" like Bath and Body Works's Vanilla Bean Noel scent. Although florals are listed as a note, I don't smell them at all. So women who hate florals can safely wear this scent and really shouldn't smell any floral notes at all.

Takeaways
  • -Bath and Body Works's Warm Vanilla Sugar is a rich, sensuous vanilla scent.
  • -Victoria's Secrets Vanilla Lace is a softer, more true vanilla scent.
  • -Both scents make nice gifts, but Vanilla Lace is a safer gift choice.
