Wicca has always incorporated the concept of dual deities, the god and goddess, the ying and yang. One is not preferable over the other and a goddess is just as powerful as a god. The gender doesn't matter in the form of strength or hierarchy. For example there is the Sun God, but the name of the sun god differs depending on the culture you were in - Roman, Greek, Egyptian, etc. Some of these deities have more than one name even in the same location, like Ammon is also known as Amon and Amon-ra. Calling the deity by any of the names given is allowed and common.

Below are some of the deities that may be used in rituals and wiccan spell casting that come from Egyptian times. These profiles are given with the sex, color, animal or plant correspondence, notes on the deity, and the zodiac correspondence. It will also tell you what they are god or goddess of. That information can be useful to decide which deity should be used.

Ammon/Amon/Amon-ra
Male, color - gold, Animal - Ram.
Notes: Sun god of later Egypt, paired with Ra until they became a single god. Ammon is knwon as the lord of the terrestrial thrones. Amon-ra was reincarnated as the present Lord or Lords who were in position to lay claim to "god on earth" status.

Anubis
Male, color - black, Animal - jackal
Notes: Guard of the dead, protector of sacred things. Anubis was really popular with Greek royalty of Egypt, may have originated more from Greek ideology than Egyptian.

Aton
Male, color - gold, Animal - snake
Notes: another Sun god. Also known as: Atun, Atom, Atum

Bast/Bastet
Female, color - black and green, animal - cat
Notes: Protection, felinity, seeing in the dark, swiftness of action, other "cat" traits

Horus
Male, color - gold, Animal - hawk
Notes: Sun god, adopted by Greeks, also god of Time, Divination, and Magick.

Maat
Female, color - black, Animal - cat
Notes: Goddess of vengeance and reward, the fourth face

Nepthys
Female, color - black, Animal - cat
Notes: Goddess of childbirth and the protector of midwifes

Nuit/Nut
Female, color - black, Animal - cat
Notes: Goddess of the night, stars, The All mother.

While I understand that Wicca is a lot different from ancient practices, some of these descriptions of deities are inaccurate. Also, it's inaccurate to say that this is how deities can be petitioned both in Wicca and in ancient practices, seeing as Wicca is an extremely new religion that differs greatly from any ancient religion. Furthermore, it's alright to say "this is what I/other Wiccans believe", but if the point of the article is to tell others which deity rules what, it's important to note what the Egyptians believed since you're portraying this as what the Egyptians believed and how Wiccans can "use" these deities.
