As women, our lives are hard enough without dealing fairly innocuous, but nonetheless annoying, events. Read on to find out six things you can do to make your day much simpler. Love your perfume, but tired of it fading away by lunchtime? To make your perfume last throughout the day, you can spread a little dab of petroleum jelly on your pulse points where you spray your perfume. The thick, gooey consistency attracts scent molecules and holds them in, leaving you smelling great all day.
Nothing is more a combination of embarrassing and annoying than a nagging cough. Whether you're embarrassed by your incessant noise pollution or having trouble going to sleep because you're hacking a lung out, you can quell the coughing by mixing one tablespoon of lemon juice with one teaspoon of honey and a pinch of cayenne pepper. As disgusting as this concoction sounds, swallow it. The lemon takes away inflammation that the coughing causes and the honey can soothe irritated throat tissue. Cayenne pepper is known for improving circulation which can make you heal faster.
Though eye shadow and eye liner make eyes stand out, the makeup combo can leave you looking like a raccoon by the end of the day. To avoid the unattractive makeup seepage, dot foundation on eye lids. Blend foundation with a makeup brush and a dash of loose powder. Follow by applying your eye makeup. This works because the powder sets the foundation, leading to a smooth surface that eye makeup can cling to. This means that it will absorb oil that forms on your skin throughout the day.
If you're looking to lose weight but have had trouble sticking to your diet, try starting the diet on the day your period ends. With your hormonal food cravings out of the way (thanks to your period ending), you'll have an easier time resisting all the good junk food you shouldn't be eating. By the time your next period comes, you should have built up much more resistance dealing with cravings.
