Imagine for a minute what your favorite Disney World memory is. Thrill seekers might be thinking of Space Mountain or the Tower of Terror. Parents with little ones may lean more towards the more traditional Dumbo ride or the interactive Bug's Life show at Animal Kingdom. And the Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion rides are long standing crowd favorites. For my family, oddly enough, our favorite Disney World attraction ended up being MGM Studios' Star Tours.

If you really consider it, you'll realize that Star Tours has something for everyone. First, since it is a motion simulator, the more timid members of your group can rest assured that they'll come through this ride with flying colors. No one will have to worry about excessive (or exhilarating depending upon your perspective) speeds or dizzying heights. In fact, if someone in your group is nervous about Star Tours, all he has to do is close his eyes until he becomes more comfortable with the movement. Then he can open them and enjoy the added benefit of the visual display.

Now, let's say your group doesn't have any timid members. Your group is made up adults who normally like something a little more exciting. That's ok. Although adults won't feel that same rush they would in the Tower of Terror, they can enjoy another aspect of the Star Tours experience. Adults who grew up watching Star Wars and all of its related films will really get a kick out of the campy atmosphere of the ride. The queue line is designed to make the visitor feel like they really are in line to embark on a trip through the stars. In normal Disney World tradition, the Star Tours line itself is an exhibit and there is plenty to check out during your wait. Even the spiel the ride attendants give prior to sending you off on your adventure got a chuckle from us every time.
