Mondays on CBS became much funnier when they added Two and a Half Men to their lineup in the 9-9:30 pm slot in 2003.

Let me tell you a little about the cast and background on this hilarious show.

Charlie Sheen plays Charlie Harper, who lived in a beach house in Malibu and writes jingles. Charlie Harper is a womanizer who likes to drink.

Jon Cryer plays his brother Alan. Alan is a chiropractor who moved in with Charlie when his wife Judith, played by Marin Hinkle decided she wanted a divorce.

Angus T. Jones plays Jake the precocious son of Alan and Judith. Jake is not doing well in school, gets in trouble often and loves to eat. Now that he is interested in the opposite sex, it makes for some funny television.

Charlie has a domineering, bossy housekeeper named Berta. Conchata Ferrell is hilarious as blue-collar Berta. She has her tattoos and her boy-friend hopping daughters. She takes nothing off of anybody. Her one-liners will leave tears in your eyes.

Added into the mix is the neglectful mother who seems more absorbed in her own life than her sons. Holland Taylor, portraying Evelyn, is wonderful. She seems cold, domineering and not maternal in the least.

Judith does not care for Charlie and thinks he is a terrible role model for her son. She is also another domineering woman, it seems the guys on this show are surrounded by them. She recently remarried on the show, meaning Alan no longer has to pay her alimony. That episode with the large replica of his last alimony check was one not to miss!

Ryan Stiles, Herb her new husband, was extremely funny on Drew Carey. The show added on another funny cast member when they brought him on.

The antics between Charlie and Alan are but-gusting funny. They are polar opposites. Alan is a miserly penny-pincher. He is a little on the obsessive compulsive side who likes things neat and in their place.

Charlie blows money on gambling, women and booze. Alan seems to stick him with the bill often. Charlie seems to not care about anyone but himself.
