God of War II Walkthrough Part 3: Battling the Colossus for the Second Time

This God of War II walkthrough guide picks up with the second battle against the Colossus. You should hop down the balcony to pick up where you left out with the same style as before. Avoid the majority of his attacks and you'll begin to notice that a few are the same as before being unavoidable so you have to take some damage to pound his arms hard with combo attacks.

Look over to the right side of the balcony for the next part of this God of War II walkthrough and you'll notice a grip holder like you saw earlier. Jump up to it to swing to the next balcony where you can continue your assault. In order to dodge the Colossus's pounding attacks, you should swing from balcony to balcony and use your attacks on it when it turns around.

You'll know when the Colossus has been damaged enough as it begins to fall over on another balcony. Make your way over and you'll see a Circle button appear above its arm, which you should get near to press the button. This will bring up a series of buttons you have to push in the corresponding order to finish the first part of this battle. After you've pressed the buttons successfully for this part of the walkthrough, God of War II's Kratos will end up back on top of the balcony where you get to repeat the whole process for a second time. After you get through the second set of corresponding buttons to initiate the kill sequence, the Colossus will use his hands to grab Kratos where he will try and flatten his body with both hands. In order to set yourself free, you should press both L1 and R1 rapidly to make your escape to a new area.

After defeating the Colossus for the second time in this God of War II walkthrough, you'll be taken to the Rhodes's Palace. You'll be presented with a blue chest that you need to open before jumping up to the upper area and opening the door. As you make your way around the corner, you'll notice several archers on the other side of the gate. You should ignore them and head right where you'll have another chance to go right again into a different hall where you can save your progress.
