To listen to and watch comedian Jeff Allen now on Comedy Central, VH1, the Odyssey Channel, at the Estes Park (Colorado) Christian Seminar or any of the other places he performs, one might never think of Jeff Allen, the man who used to get mail addressed to "Mr. Psycho." One might never think of the performer who once had to get drunk before every performance before he was able to go onstage. You might never think of the man who says he wasted every paycheck, stole neighbors' soda bottles to sell them for money, and whose life went downhill for ten years with addictions to alcohol and cocaine. Today, not only is Jeff Allen clean from the substance abuse and performing before secular and Christian audiences and with some well-known entertainers, he is also telling about his faith in God. He also has a successful marriage, although before he received his faith, he and wife, Tami, were on the verge of divorce.

Today Jeff Allen entertains millions of people. He has performed on every U.S. cable comedy show, in Las Vegas, and in churches all over the country. He has worked with Jerry Seinfeld and the Smothers Brothers and starred in his own sitcom pilot, Happy Life, Happy Wife for PAX TV with Castle Rock Entertainment. Jeff Allen has also headlines his own national comedy tour, Jeff Allen and Friends: Funny People of Faith. He has also received the Grady Nutt Humor Award-the most prestigious award for Christian comedians. He is a featured columnist for Living with Teenagers Magazine and has performed on Bill Gaither's Homecoming.

Jeff Allen's got his first job from Arsenio Hall. He says now that before his faith in Jesus Christ, he used to get drunk every night before he performed. He couldn't go on otherwise. He became addicted to alcohol and drugs. He says that while he would work at America's top comedy clubs 46 weeks a year, he wasted every paycheck, slept on floors, and stole soda bottles from neighbors to sell to make money.
