Every body may hate Chris, but I certainly don't. I am actually fond of the thirty minute comedy that airs on the CW network's Monday night line up.

Everybody Hates Chris is a distinctively hilarious comedy that is based on the life of actor/comedian, Chris Rock. The show was written by Ali Leroy, co-created, and narrated by Chris Rock.

Everybody Hates Chris highlights the struggles of an African American teenager, growing up in a family of four in Brooklyn, New York. Chris, who is played by Tyler James Williams, struggles in his everyday life to fit in.

Because Chris comes from a neighborhood where violence is prevalent, in order to receive a better education, his parents have him bussed to an all white school where he becomes a social misfit. With the exception of his best friend Greg, played by Vincent Martella, Chris doesn't have any social outlets. He spends his weekdays getting beat-up by the school bully.

His mother, Rochelle, who is played by Tichina Arnold, works only when necessary. Like a lot of mothers, she prefers to stay at home to raise her kids. Rochelle's character is a no nonsense woman, who refuses to take any mess from her children. She is willing to say whatever she feels.

Chris's father Julius, played by Terry Crews is hardworking. Julius is a family man who is always there for his wife and kids. Under normal circumstances, Julius will work two jobs to provide for his family. Julius is also known for being a penny pinching madman, who will do anything to save a dime.

Drew, Chris's younger brother, played by Tequan Richmond is smart, and funny. He loves to learn, and he is adored by all of the young girls around the neighborhood. Unlike Chris, Drew always manages to stay out of trouble.

Tonya, Chris's only sister, who is played by Imani Hakim, likes to have everything her way. She is the youngest in the family, and has daddy wrapped around her finger. She is known for getting angry when she doesn't get what she wants from her brothers.

I've been watching this show online, and I would have to say that it is one of the funniest on the air. It's kind of refreshing to watch a show that just makes you laugh, and one episode isn't part of a huge storyline. You forgot to mention the characters like Caruso, Reverend Omar, Malvo, or Chris' Math teacher who always talks down to him. Little things like that spice up this show.
