Why should December be the only month filled with holiday joy? Why not celebrate Christmas in July as well? When you celebrate Christmas in July, you really do take some of the stress out of your life. It's also a wonderful way to spend time with kids. Even if you just spend one weekend or even one day, celebrating Christmas in July, it will be time well spent. Here are just a few of the fun ways to celebrate Christmas in July.

Fun Ways to Celebrate Christmas in July: Watch Movies

You know that special feeling you get when you watch your favorite holiday movie? That feeling doesn't have to be reserved for December. This July, pull out all your favorite holiday movies and enjoy them. You could play one movie a night or you could spend one weekend having a holiday movie marathon. To make your Christmas in July experience more realistic, turn down the air conditioner and pull out your favorite blanket to curl up in. Don't forget to include holiday treats when you celebrate Christmas in July. For example, make some cocoa or even a batch of cream-filled candies. When you celebrate Christmas in July, you should indulge in all of your favorite holiday treats.

Fun Ways to Celebrate Christmas in July: Bake Cookies

Another fun way to celebrate Christmas in July is to bake cookies. Even if you just bake store bought cookie dough, this is still a fun way to celebrate Christmas in July. Decorate the cookies in a fun holiday theme and enjoy them while you watch holiday movies. But it doesn't have to be just cookies. You could bake up any holiday treat. A fun way to celebrate Christmas in July is to splurge and make treats that you reserve for that special holiday. You don't have to celebrate Christmas in July alone either. Why not make a holiday treat buffet and invite your friends over to watch the movie marathon with you?

Fun article. Go to www.StJude.org to find a Christmas in July sale that raises funds to help kids who are ill and receiving treatment at St. Jude's hospital in TN.

Good article, Amy. I had an aunt who kept her eyes open all year long for items on sale that made good Christmas presents. She'd buy them, take them home, wrap them and hide them. By September she normally had everyone's gift bought and wrapped. That way she didn't pay a bundle of money out all at once and since she bought the item on sale, she saved money.

You've touched my holiday heart...I wish I were together enought to shop for Christmas ahead of time, and now with your reminder I might just pick up a few gifts and ease the stress...but I also like the idea of living up to the holiday spirit at other times. Thanks for the inspiration Amy.:-)

Excellent article~I love it! My birthday is in August and we started the tradition a few years ago of baking Christmas cookies. My girls thought of it when they were smaller and we've been doing it ever since. It is lots of fun to bring out all the cookie cutters that we haven't seen since December!
