A Great Place on the Oregon Coast for a Great Vacation
Christmas this year was celebrated at a lovely little place on the Oregon Coast. Yachats, Oregon is located South of Newport, Oregon along Highway 101 down the Oregon Coast. Our Christmas holiday was spent in a quaint placed called The Yachats Inn. Yachats Inn sits right on the shore giving most of the rooms and condos a great view of the ocean waves and activities.
The Yachats Inn has several different kinds of room's available, regular motel type rooms with typical queen beds, bathrooms and small table and chairs while some rooms include a living room area with wood stove or fireplace, kitchenette, and beds to accommodate 4 to 6 people. There is a new section to this motel that has condominiums that accommodate 4 to 8 persons with a full kitchen, living room with gas fireplace, and separate bedrooms for guests.
The Yachats Inn has a wonderful common room area that accommodates as many as 20 people, two living room areas with televisions a large wood burning fireplace, complete kitchen, computer room, bathroom and dining room to seat up to 10 people. This is the room our families spent Christmas day where we were able to enjoy a complete traditional Christmas Dinner.
Yachats is located 22 miles north of Florence Oregon the home of Oregon's great dunes and dune buggy activities. Our group drove the 22 miles on Saturday to enjoy a great afternoon riding our individual dune buggies on the great dunes of Oregon. There are several rental areas along the dunes and shores by Florence, the cost of 3 dune buggies and 2 quads for 1 hour came to $550.00. A bit expensive but well worth the money if this is an activity that the family enjoys.
There is much to do on the coast along this stretch of highway, Sea Lion Caves, horse back riding, dune buggy riding, hiking, light house discovery, picnicking, surfing, surf-boarding and much more.
At the Yachats Inn the indoor pool and hot tub are located in an all encased room with glass on every side. It is nice on a stormy evening to enjoy the heat of the pool or hot tub while watching the wild waves break along the jetty rising high above the surf.

I'd rather stay in an 'Inn' any day of the week over a hotel! This sounds lovely, cheers.
