Sleep Paralysis is something that has been plaguing mankind throughout his existence. Sleep Paralysis, Is a condition where people find themselves unable to move or perform any voluntary action either right before falling asleep, or right after waking up. The worst form, Hallucinatory Sleep Paralysis, is often accompanied by horrible hallucinations, feelings of intense terror and a malevolent presence.

What sets Hallucinatory Sleep Paralysis apart from other more common sleep disorders aside from its particularly disturbing effects is the fact it often occurs geographically in isolated time periods, like an epidemic. Reports of frightening attacks of Sleep Paralysis will often flood in all at once in a certain location, where there had been none before. Studies show these epidemics of Sleep Paralysis can last as long as four years, but most commonly only a few months. Sleep Paralysis also seems to be hereditary, it commonly runs in families through many generations. These are all things science has not yet been able to explain, perhaps until now.

Recent studies have shown that reports of Sleep Paralysis, and Sleep Paralysis legends are more common in geographical hotspots such as Mexico City and all through-out the Pacific Ring of Fire, even the Hawaiian Islands are crawling with legends of Choking Ghosts. What most of these Sleep Paralysis hot spots have in common is geophysical activity, volcanoes, fault lines and the like. Evidence is becoming more and more convincing that Sleep Paralysis and some other paranormal activity seems to coincide with the geophysical conditions of an area.

In fact, alot of research has been suggesting that certain geomagnetic conditions most often created in places with irregular geophysical conditions, directly correlate with reports of paranormal occurences including Sleep Paralysis.

Interesting article. I've been fascinated with sleep paralysis since listening to Dredg's El Cielo. If you haven't listened to that album, check it out, and read the liner notes.

Wow, this is freaky. I just commented about my sleep paralysis in your other article. I didn't know about about a lot of this stuff. Guess where I live? Right on the Pacific Ring of Fire. Maybe it's time I moved!

Hmmmm, interesting. But I have to admit, your fasicnation with Webkinz and Absyinthe make me feel the need to do some research on this one...hahaha, you have an interesting mix of hobbies! And people with interesting hobbies usually make for interesting writers. It's fascinating that you only have 11 articles and area laredy one of the most viewed CP's.

This is new to me. Great information. It happened to me once and it just so happened that the place I was staying at the time was very haunted. Perhaps one had something to do with the other. It's never happened to me before or since. Great article!

Very interesting article. I experienced sleep paralysis several times, but only in one place I lived. This could explain why.

This is fascinating. There is so much in the realm of energy, and I believe sound can correctly be termed and energy, that we have until recently overlooked and disregarded. New technologies are opening new vistas that will benefit all of us. The influence of infrasonic sound seems plausible to me.

I have exprienced sleep paralysis most of my life. Yes, other sleep disorders do run in my family. I most often experience SP early in the mrning, like 3 AM, and when I am extremely tired, wake up, then when doseing back off to sleep, thats when it happens. I live in Massachusetts, and near nothing like this said, that I know of. Loved this article!

Nice article. I have wondered about this a bit myself. I only experienced Sleep Paralysis once in my life, but it is one of those really odd things that sticks with you.
