Unless you've been in a coma for the last six months I'm sure you've heard someone mention NBC's new hit series "Heroes". As it wraps up its first season of suspense, imagination and thrills, the rest of us can only dream of what the creators have in store for next season. The show is about ordinary people with extraordinary abilities, as the commercials put it. A politician who can fly, a duel personality with super-strength, a painter who can see the future, and just a few of the incredible characters we have met over the past few months. The fan favorites were by far characters such as Claire Bennett, the indestructible cheerleader, played by Hayden Panetierre. Although she was not a household name for many six months ago her acting resume is impressive. She played in "Remember the Titans." "A Bug's Life," "Message in a Bottle" and other big movies. Her dramatic role in "Heroes" has made her a familiar face that once hid in the story of her movies, but now we see her talent shining through like a lighthouse and we are eager to see more of her.
Hiro Nakamura, played by Masi Oka, is the adorably innocent Japanese man who can manipulate time. I recognized Franklin from "Scrubs" as this enchanting actor, but he has had guest star appearances on other shows including "Gilmore Girls" and "Will and Grace." His film credits include "Along Came Polly" and "Austin Powers: Goldmember."
