Hi! I'm writing this article to tell you about the Brainwave Generator. If you don't know about this program, visit www.bwgen.com

Here is a quote taken from the bwgen site:

"Just put on the earphones and let BrainWave Generator take you to the state of mind you want.

The audio stimulation functions of BrainWave Generator help you

* prepare for stressful situations or challenging tasks
* improve learning results
* alleviate sleeping problems and headaches
* ...and much more!

BrainWave Generator generates binaural beats that change your brain frequency towards the desired state, be it relaxation or enhanced attention."

The program (unregistered version) gives you 20 built-in presets, and the ability to create presets (a preset is a "song" for the brainwave generator; in other words, it's a composition of binaural beats that you listen too in stereo headphones). Unfortunately the built-in presets really don't offer much; they are a good way to get familiar with the program but I find presets from the bwgen preset library to be much more useful (the unregistered version can't import presets, it can only export them).

The Brainwave Generator site mentioned above has over 300 user made presets to choose from:

With these "presets", your brainwave frequencies change. You can put yourself in a wave-state (delta, theta, beta, etc). Different states can cause:

lucid dreams
OOBE's (Out of Body Experience...it's OK, be skeptical :D)
Increased vividness in dreams
sleep induction
sleep reduction (5hz theta can replace up to 4 hours of REM sleep)
relaxation
meditation
...the list goes on!

There are a LOT of possibilities. People design presets to accomplish one of the many things the bwgen is capable of; you just have to decide what's for you!
