For lodging you can choose from an array of places, bed and breakfast, hotels, motels, campgrounds or privately owned cottages the choices are endless.
In the summer of 2006 we spent 7 fabulous days at a privately run cottage named Harrison Run Holiday Cottage. The most charming man I have ever met owns it. He is a member of a band who carries on the tradition of Jug Band Music, for those of you who aren't familiar with this musical experience, don't despair because this accommodating host will graciously give you one of his bands cd's as a parting gift.
Harrison Cottage is a vacationers dream come true. It has a washer and dryer along with several laundry detergents, bleach and fabric softener. There is a living/dining room area, which is equipped with an air conditioner, gas fireplace, stereo, plus a collection of music cd's, books and board games. Two bedrooms, one with a double bed the other hosts a single. There are plenty of blankets to accommodate a chilly night.
There is a TV room with a hide-a-way bed; the television has local cable and a vcr. There even was a variety of vhs tapes for your viewing. Some of them are oldies but goodies, but I'm sure you will find something that tickles your fancy.
The kitchen is out of this world I couldn't believe the amount of items it was furnished with. It had an abundance of cookware, utensils, dishes, cups, glasses, and bowls. The cupboards were filled with spices, cooking oils, coffee filters, coffee, teas the list goes on and on. Another added plus was cleaning supplies; dish wash, air fresheners, many household cleaning products also filled the cabinets. I was ecstatic with the kitchen; it had everything you needed to make a simple snack to an elaborate dinner.
