Now I know everybody has heard the saying, "one man's trash is another man's treasure." Well in this case it is very true, except it is your trash, your treasure. People throw away their recyclables because they have no place for it. But what they don't realize is they could use it to create space or something useful. I am going to tech you how to make a message board out of some scraps.

Thing you will need:

cardboard

fabric

needle and thread

craft paint and supplies

First few words of wisdom I would like to impart. Remember that your creativity is only limited by you, so go all out. If you like plain Jane, go with plain Jane. If you like very funky, use that as inspiration.

Now what you want to do is find a scrap piece of cardboard, for mine I used a box scrap. I was lucky enough to find a piece with a vertical fold in the middle and two folds horizontally. This made it easier tho fold in half, which you will want to do tho make it thick enough so as not to poke holes in the wall. The edges of my piece in the picture also folded inward, kind of like doors. But any old piece will do.

Once you have found the piece of your choice you are ready to start designing it. You will need to measure the border of you box after it is folded if necessary. You will need to use something as a frame, I used fabric. I also only framed the side this a shirt with a pocket. The frame needs to cover enough of the front and back to hold the tow pieces together if it is folded. You can pretty much use any size or design. With the shirt I just cut my desired length and sewed the top end and bottom end, so it acts as a sleeve. After you have measure and fit it to size set the fabric aside for now.
