Finding one's place in the world:

There are a couple of ways to find one's true meaning in life. The first step that many people take is to seclude themselves and engage in the essential question. Indeed, quieting one's mind is a good first step to clarify the answer. Next, people should look at themselves the way other people see them. Oftentimes, the reason why we can't find our true selves is because we lack objective reason in this matter. Only through complete objectivity can one see where one is to get a picture of where one needs to go.

I believe it is crucial that people use their talents for the good of mankind. I think most people would agree with this assessment. In order to find out what your true talents are consider what others say that you are good at. Each time someone compliments you want something sear that experience into your mind. These are the clues to the answer.

On the same token, you will need to determine that which you are not good at. This is an area which you can try to improve upon, but it is also an area that tells you where you don't want to go. Ask all the hard questions and be candid in your assessments. The truth will set you free.

Next, focus on your objectives. Focus on your desires. Determine your needs. Determine your wants. Now compare your strengths and weaknesses with these wants, needs, and desires. Most of all, how can you use them to reach your objectives. Formulate a plan, see how the plan goes, and adjust it accordingly.

No secret to happiness:

I believe it was Socrates who said that only the educated are free. In my estimation happiness requires constant personal growth. This includes being well-informed, being persistent, and looking at life objectively. Without these factors one will be living as a caged animal not knowing where to turn to next.
