The Adventurer series from Lego started off as just another building set to help kids use their imaginations and expand their horizons. It grew into a multi themed empire that includes sub-themes for India, Egypt, The Amazon, Mount Everest and China. With educational tie-ins at the Lego website (www.lego.com), kids can use the sets to create their very own adventures. This mini-theme consist of five sets that range in price from $3.99 to $49.99 depending on where you live and the type of store you are shopping at. Here is a list of the sets in this sub-series along with some information about them They are all listed as being for kids ages six and over and that is in regards to the possibility of a choking hazard as well as building skill level.
Set Name: Jungle River
Set Number: 7410
Price: $7.99
Piece Count: 65 (1 figure)
Year Released: 2003
A nice looking mid sized set that includes a red snake and green crocodile. The lone figure, Johnny Thunder, is nice but the skeleton head, tribal headdress and gems are what make this set worth the suggested retail price. It is easy to build but contains a lot of small bricks and bits that can get lost easily.
Set Name: Tygurah's Roar
Set Number: 7411
Price: $9.99
Piece Count: 94 (2 figures)
Year Released: 2003
Featuring the oddly sized Tygurah (sounds like 'tiger'), the elements from this set can be used to make a variety of things. We used it to make a bridge as well as a sacrificial alter. If you want to purchase more of the Tygurah figures, you can find them online at places like Baylit (Bricks As You Like Them) or BricksForYou.
Set Name: Elephant Caravan
Set Number: 7414
Price: $19.99
Piece Count: 102 (3 figures)
Year Released: 2003
Babloo make his first appearance in this set; it is also the one that has the very cool collectable Adventurer game cards in it. The game never really took off with fans but the cards, if in mint condition and still sealed, fetch a very nice price online.
Set Name: Scorpion Palace
Set Number: 7418
Price: $49.99
Piece Count: 255 (5 figures)
Year Released: 2003
