Fine knights and beauteous maidens, thou hast been summoned to a celebration of medieval times at a renaissance fair! There are several that occur in Wisconsin in the latter part of the year.

Port Washington Pirate Festival - Located approximately 26 miles north of Milwaukee in Port Washington, Wisconsin. This fair will be held June 1st - 3rd from 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm on Friday, 10:00 am - 11:00 pm on Saturday, and 10:00 am - 4:00 pm on Sunday. Parking and admission will be free. Those who choose to dress up must keep weapons sheathed and peace-tied. Invading pirates will engage in cannon fire and sword fights, the Thieves Marketplace will be open to all who wish to gain some treasures, and the Gruel Gallery will be offering fine grub and grog (food and drink to landlubbers!). Wandering entertainers will dazzle visitors with fire-eating, magic, music, and comedy. The Children's Area will feature themed activities for younger patrons. More information can be found on their website at http://www.portpiratefestival.com.

Wisconsin Renaissance Faire - Located approximately 90 miles east of Wausau in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. This fair will be held weekends June 16th - July 15th from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm. Tickets will be $12 for adults, $8 for kids ages 6 - 12, and free for children ages 5 and under. Parking will be free. Those wishing to dress in costume will need to keep weapons sheathed and peace-tied. Visitors can enjoy thrilling jousts, hilarious comedy, enchanting music, and even learn to juggle or gypsy dance. Merchants will be selling finely crafted clothing, candles, bath products, leather goods, toys, and more. Additional details are available on their website at http://www.wirenfaire.com.
