Description:

The Bull Boxer is part of the large dog breed family. Looks vary in this breed due to the fact they are classified a mutt because of their mixed bulldog/boxer inheritance. This "appearance various" normally takes place in the tail, face, coat length, and fur color. The actual size and shape of the dog normally does NOT change.

Bull Boxers have a strongly-built body, long-slender legs, a barrel-like chest, and long-droopy ears. Extremely short-rough fur covers their entire body. The fur color on this dog never appears to be the same as the next.

It is very important that your Bull Boxer does not weigh 10 pounds below 37 pounds (17 kg), or weigh 12 pounds over 75 pounds (32 kg). This could lead to illnesses.

Temperament:

Despite the fact that each has their own personality, it is found that each of these dogs, as a group, are very social. They normally enjoy the company of both humans and other animals. This breed of dog is easily trained. Bull Boxers' will remain acting like a puppy until about 2 or 3 years of age.

The average life span of this breed is 12 or 13 years of age. Sometimes this breed will make it to be 15 years of age with proper care.

Living conditions:

Bull Boxers will do okay living the apartment life with sufficient daily exercise. They are fairly active both indoors and out, so a larger yard is require when owning this kind of dog.

Health problems:
This breed of dog is prone to heart disease and skin cancer. They should live indoors and not outdoors due to their short fur. Harmful sunrays tend to sunburn this breed's skin, which could later lead to skin cancer. To prevent skin cancer in your Bull Boxer try giving them some time away from the sun when playing outdoors.
