Grey's Anatomy's Chandra Wilson

When the Grey's Anatomy season came to an end, we all watched Miranda ask George if she failed him. It was one of her few tender moments that we live to see. Miranda, also known as the Nazi, is firm, strong, and gives what we all call, tough love. But unlike her character, Chandra Wilson is soft spoken, and there is nothing Nazi-ish about her.

Born in Houston, TX, the actress began performing at the age of five. She attended the city's High School for the Performing Arts, and then later acquired her BFA in Drama from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Chandra has had many television roles. You may have seen her in Sex in The City, Law and Order, and the Sopranos. She also starred in commercials for Burger King, Blockbuster, and Scope. Her career includes many New York stage credits as well.

But what is it that we love most about Chandra Wilson's character? It has to be her aloof attitude and unapproachable personality. As hard as she tries to stay out of her intern's personal lives, she always ends up right in the middle of their chaos. Take the episode in which Izzy learns that her biological daughter is in the hospital and needs bone marrow to live. Who stepped right up, held her hand, and sat with her during the procedure? (At least until George got there) Dr. Bailey did. And when Izzy almost changed her mind, it was Dr. Bailey telling her that one day, that little girl may want to meet her, and she needed to do what was right.

What about the time Miranda's patient had some kind of contagious disease and she stood by his door all night keeping him company after his wife died? Or the time she let Addison open up to her about her life. As much as she acted like she despised it, she stood there listening, and then gave her advice about how to proceed with her problems.
