I did not find one of the funniest medical drama's on television until it was well into its first season. House is on Fox on Tuesdays in the 9-10 pm est slot. They also show reruns on the Fox and USA networks.

Hugh Laurie as Dr. Gregory House is an infectious disease specialist so believably sarcastic and brilliantly funny. His wit and often times unsolicited and unwarranted remarks can leave you speechless or holding your stomach in laughter. His character has no bed-side manner at all and when he can get away without even speaking personally to a patient, he is happiest. He can be brutally honest, straight to the point and very well respected. Even respected by those who wish to hate him.

He is dealing with his own pain, walking with a cane and constantly popping pain pills while trying his best to get out of clinical duties. He is drawn to medical cases that are a challenge. A case that has no easy cure or even an easy diagnosis. A mystery, if you will.

Dr. House has three doctors on his team.

Omar Epps portrays Dr. Eric Foreman who is an neurologist who came from the wrong side of the tracks. He has a criminal history from when he was younger and has fought diversity all his life. He has a hard time separating his past from who he is now. Dr. Foreman is the closest to being like House and that scares him.

Dr. Robert Chase, played by Jesse Spencer is an intensivist. Dr. Chase comes from money and a father who a famous doctor as well. He wants to be known by his own abilities and not be known because of who his father is.

The last person on Dr. House's team is an immunologist named Dr. Allison Cameron, who is played by Jennifer Morrison. Dr. Cameron is very nice and kind. She is also naive and gullible. She is the one with the heart on this team. The complete opposite of House. She has been in love with House and thinks there is kindness in there, somewhere.
