Felicity started attending Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan before she was a teenager. Felicity Huffman graduated from the famous academy in 1981, where she majored in theater. Felicity attended New York University after high school. Felicity graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama. Felicity has also studied drama at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, England.
Felicity is best known for her role as Lynette Scavo in the popular ABC television series, "Desperate Housewives". Felicity won an Emmy Award for "Desperate Housewives". She has also won a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress for her role in "Transamerica", in which she played a transgender woman. Felicity also won the award for Best Film Actress at the Tribeca Film Festival for "Transamerica". "Transamerica" was produced by Felicity's husband. Huffman has also won two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Felicity Huffman got her career start in made-for-television movies. Her first feature film was the comedy drama "Things Change" in 1981. Huffman has also appeared on Broadway in the production "Feed the Plow".
Felicity Huffman has also starred in the television series "Sports Night". Huffman has had recurring roles on several television series including "Frasier", "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip", and "The West Wing". Felicity was fired from the television series "Thunder Alley" in 1994. Felicity Huffman has appeared in the movies "Christmas with the Kranks", "Raising Helen", and "Georgia Rule".
