Felicity Huffman was born as Grace Huffman in Bedford, New York, on December 9, 1962. Huffman's nickname is Flicka. Felicity's parents were divorced only a year after she was born. She grew up in Aspen, Colorado with her mother, six sisters, and a brother. Felicity is the youngest sibling in the family.

Felicity started attending Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan before she was a teenager. Felicity Huffman graduated from the famous academy in 1981, where she majored in theater. Felicity attended New York University after high school. Felicity graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama. Felicity has also studied drama at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, England.

Felicity is best known for her role as Lynette Scavo in the popular ABC television series, "Desperate Housewives". Felicity won an Emmy Award for "Desperate Housewives". She has also won a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress for her role in "Transamerica", in which she played a transgender woman. Felicity also won the award for Best Film Actress at the Tribeca Film Festival for "Transamerica". "Transamerica" was produced by Felicity's husband. Huffman has also won two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Felicity Huffman got her career start in made-for-television movies. Her first feature film was the comedy drama "Things Change" in 1981. Huffman has also appeared on Broadway in the production "Feed the Plow".

Felicity Huffman has also starred in the television series "Sports Night".
