Not only children get to play with hands-on art and science in Tallahassee, Florida! One of the city's most interesting and educational attractions is the Mary Brogan Museum of Art and Science, which sits in the heart of downtown Tallahassee just waiting to be touched, explored, and investigated by adults as well as children. As stated in their many interesting and informative newsletters, they are associated with the Smithsonian Institution, and their mission is "to stimulate interest in, and understanding of, how visual arts, sciences, mathematics, and technology connect through exploration and discovery experiences that educate and inspire."

Within the walls of the Mary Brogan Museum of Art and Science in Tallahassee, myriad permanent hands-on exhibits await experimentation, observation, and manipulation by children and adults alike. For the youngest explorers, there is a special area called "Early Learners," where they can play with educational toys and investigate objects to their heart's content. "The Close-Up Classroom" offers light and color play for older guests, or they can tease their brains with numerous manipulative puzzles in "Mind Games." Those who are in a constructive mood may enjoy the "Exploration Station," where they may construct simple machines. In the EcoLab, visitors can watch the turtles, examine a coral reef tank, or touch and handle various seashells, and in "Weather Wonders," blue-screen technology is utilized so that they can watch themselves forecast the weather, just as real-life meteorologists do.
