Yesterday I heard this news story on National Public Radio (yes, I love my NPR...and I'm quite proud to be such a dork) that stated there were four reported cases of women in America who have died from some bacterial infection after taking abortion pills. Now, four women out of millions of women across the world does not concern me. What concerns me are the anti-abortion protesters who are basically saying "Good, this was God's doing"......"They deserved to die"....

How can you be a decent human being and think these thoughts or even say these things out loud? I do not understand people who profess that they love God and Christ and then condemn another person before they even get a chance to know the situation. If I were God, which I can honestly say that I am not, I would be so angry that people are claiming such horrible things are my doing. This is the same kind of reasoning that took place just after Hurricane Katrina. How can people call it a new Sodom and Gomorrah (sp?) saying that God just did what he does best?

If you really think about it, especially if you are Christian, none of us deserve to be here. We all do horrible things. We are all despicable people, even the most evangelical of Christians. How can a person be happy that someone dies? I just don't understand the thought processes or rationale of some people. That is an extreme I don't think I will ever pursue. Maybe I am just an enjoyer of life, maybe even a bit stoic. It is not my place to judge what others are doing with their lives.

Most who kill their enemy feels bad about it. They ponder their actions and wonder if revenge was worth it after all, even if they don't get caught. It is stuck in their heads the rest of their lives, but people who are so extreme as to say that someone deserves to die because of one action in their lives, well, I think they are monster robots who have no true emotions and don't have the decent human nature we were all given at birth.
