At the beginning of all diets, you tend to find your self wondering, "exactly what are the best foods to eat to lose weight?" It depends on the diet that you've decided to go with, obviously, but there are some certain foods that will work wonders with all diets.

They are called "Negative Calorie Foods". No, there aren't any foods out there that truly have negative calories, but there are some foods that, after expending energy to digest them, have a net effect of negative calories. For example, many people claim that a stalk of celery has so few calories that you actually burn more calories by chewing it then you receive when you eat it. Now, that reason isn't true, but the fact that celery is one of those "Negative Calorie Foods" is true.

The benefit lies in the fact that your body uses the same amount of calories to digest food, no matter what the food is. If you eat a stalk of celery, you are only taking in a few calories, while expending many more without doing any extra work. That's what makes this so effective.

A small list of the best foods to eat to lose weight are: asparagus, beet, broccoli, green cabbage, carrot, cauliflower, celery root, celery, hot chili peppers, cucumber, dandelion, endive, garden cress, garlic, green beans, zucchini, apple, cranberries, grapefruit, lemon, mango, orange, pineapple, raspberries, strawberries, tangerine, lamb's lettuce, lettuce, onion, papaya, radishes, spinach, and turnips. Try adding a few of these foods to your current diet and see how easy it is to lose the weight. Many of these foods are something that even kids enjoy. This is probably the easiest way to get them to eat healthy, without them knowing that they're even doing it.

It will also help by adding at least a short 30 minute walk, or some other cardiovascular activity, at least 3 days each week. This will increase your metabolism, allowing you to burn even more calories without doing any extra work. If you are even more overweight, then you should notice the effects much quicker than somebody who isn't. Try this for 30 days and you won't even feel like the same person.
