Acne may be common for teenagers, but as an adult, having acne and zits on your face may be a bit embarrassing. So what exactly is the cause of those breakouts at the age of 30? There are six things can be the culprit to triggering adult acne.

1. Hairstyling Products

This occurs when oils from styling products get on the skin surrounding the hairline. It clogs pores and traps bacteria, causing the clogged pores to inflame and turn into blackheads and whiteheads. The best solution to this is to keep styling products away from the hairline. Avoid putting styling products on your bangs if you're prone to getting acne at an adult age. A simple resolution would be to start using gel or mousse type of products instead of spray since it's easier to control where it's applied in your hair. You should also always wipe your hairline after using styling products to prevent breaking out.

2. Facial Hair Removal

The reason why waxing, plucking, and depilatories can cause your face to breakout is because you're removing the hair follicle and opening up the pore. Therefore, it's easier for bacteria to become trapped and clogged in the opened pore. Furthermore, facial hair removal is known to irritate the skin. Again, allowing access for bacteria to be trapped. The best way to prevent this from happening is to apply 1% hydrocortisone cream before and after removing facial hair.

3. Pollution

The pollution in the air clogs pores. Moreover, the sun and win leave the skin dry and parched, resulting in dead skin cells clogging your pores. The obvious solution here is to be conscious of personal hygiene. It's important to wash your face daily, but it's also crucial to remember to not over do it. If you wash your face too much, then it becomes irritated easily, especially if you use cleansing products all the time. Sometimes just splashing your face with water will do the trick. You don't always have to use soap or a cleanser.

4. The stuff that you put on your face
