Renaissance Fairs in North Carolina March Through June

Good morrow, noble lords and beauteous maidens! Verily I say to ye that renaissance fairs provide wondrous adventures for all ages! And there are a number that occur in North Carolina from March through June.

North Carolina Renaissance Faire - Located in Raleigh, North Carolina. This fair will be held on 2 weekends beginning on the thirteenth weekend (approximately the end of March) of 2008 from 10:00 am - 6:30 pm. Tickets will be about $12 for adults, $6 for seniors and kids, and free for children ages 4 and under. Parking will be free. Those who wish to dress in costume will need to keep weapons sheathed and peace-tied, and will not be allowed to carry pole arms or black powder weapons. Outer Banks Medieval Faire - Located approximately 33 miles southeast of Elizabeth City in Jarvisburg, North Carolina at the Weeping Radish Brewery. This fair will be held June 9^th - 10^th from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. Tickets will be $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 3 - 11, and free for children ages 2 and under. Those wishing to dress up will need to obtain a weapons permit and keep weapons sheathed and peace-tied. Exciting human chess matches, expert falconry, engaging music and fascinating re-enactments will delight young and old.
