I live in Virginia, and there is one thing about this fine commonwealth that bothers me immensely. That would be the mosquitoes. We don't have your average mosquitoes, we have the Virginia Mosquitoes. They are like Baltimore Rats or Detroit feral cats-they are in a class of their own! They are huge, and they can slam into you at any time. The only complete solution is to sit on your duff and watch outdoor network in the comfort of your family room, but you yearn for the real outdoors. The best solution is to use OFF!, and to not wear cologne/fragrances before going out.

This product claims to be unscented. That is not true, as it has a pungent sweet odor that is quite overwhelming. However, it works against mosquitoes, flies, gnats, ticks, and chiggers. It does repel them away, and this is great because it helps to prevent the spread of Lyme Disease or West Nile Virus to your immune system. Spray it 6-8 inches away from you, and focus the spray on your clothes. The spray is very strong, and it is easy to be blanketed with minimal effort. All you have to do is depress the green button for about 30 seconds, and you should be good to go. Its also okay to spray on skin, but keep away from your eyes, nose, and mouth as there are chemicals that are not safe to be ingested. There are detailed instructions on first aid, in case you somehow miss! The major ingredient in this product is DEET, which has been around for years as an effective insect repellent. Don't get fire too close-this stuff is extremely flammable.

"Unscented" in this case would mean no extra scent is added to DEET. Most humans think DEET smells nice. A few are sensitive to this chemical and should use a citronella-based repellent instead. And, since I stumbled onto this article via the "cats" keyword link, might as well mention that most cats loathe DEET -- regular use can help discourage unwelcome visits from cats. Thanks for a nice review of Off! though.
