For those who truly want to get away from it all, Surprise Valley Hot Springs is the place to be. Located in Northern California, on the border of Oregon and Nevada, is this truly unique hotel and day spa.

Surprise Valley Hot Springs has many features to it. One being its location. It's ideal for those who are attracted by the outdoors or want to tune in with nature. In a town of less than one-thousand people, the Hot Springs has no neighbors. It's surrounded by sage brush and the picturesque mountains of California, Oregon, and Nevada. And if you're lucky, you may see some deer, antelope, jackrabbits, or coyotes. You will definitely get to see the local cattle and horses.

Another feature includes the Fly-n-Soak Package that comes with lodging and a vehicle waiting for you at the airport. The car will have keys inside with a map of directions on how to get to the Hot Springs; which shows you just how safe and peaceful your surroundings are while you vacation.

If you find yourself in need of relaxation, therapeutic massages and mineral bath soakings are also available. Massages start at $45.00 for a half hour and increase from there. The mineral bath can hold up to four people and is $15.00 per person for a one-hour soak. Both require reservations.

It's impossible not to get a room that suits you best. Each room has its own theme, ranging from Greek, Americana, French 1920s, to Sports, Buckaroo, and Desert Zen. There are three types of rooms: the Standard Villas, Deluxe Villas, and the Villa Suites, starting at $115 up to $165. Each Villa is equipped with a kitchen or kitchenette and the grander the Villa, the more commodities which are included, such as a living room and/or satellite. The smaller Villas come with a t.v. and VCR but no cable. This is a way to encourage you to escape from the outside world but still have the option of watching movies if you find yourself going through television withdrawals.
