Saw 2 was released onto DVD just recently and I suggest you go rent it. If you are going to take my advice make sure you have seen the first movie also, otherwise you are not going to get the full affect of this horror movie. These two horror movies tie into each other so perfectly, the writing was amazing, hats off to Darren Lynn Bousman and Leigh Whannell. This movie is even more twisted than the original and will make you squirm in your seat, if you like blood and seeing characters in grotesque situations Saw 2 is right up your alley.

Saw 2 is of course about the sick and twisted Jig Saw murderer who this time has locked a few of his subjects in a house full of deadly traps. They must play his game and try to find their way out before they inhale too much of the nerve gas that Jig Saw is pumping into the house. The plot thickens when Eric Mathews’ (Donnie Wahlberg) catches Jig Saw, he is ready to put Jig Saw away for life when he finds out Jig Saw was ready for this, and he reveals that Eric’s son is one of the many people in the house. Jig Saw requests only one thing from Eric so that his son will be spared, that is he sit and talk to him, that is it his only request is if Eric talks to him he will let his son live.

Eric has to comply and talks with the demented Jig Saw while they watch video feed from the house of the people trying to find an escape from certain death. One by one the victims start to parish, and Eric is losing his patience with Jig Saw. Jig Saw tells Eric he choose him because of his back ground which is less than perfect, Eric is known for his rough tactics to get what he wants out of criminals. Jig Saw keeps pushing Eric seeing if he can withhold and follow the one simple rule, the rule just to talk. As Eric sees his son and the others becoming more and more frantic as they try to escape the house he becomes more enraged. All he wants is his son to be ok; does he trust Jig Saw enough that he will keep his word? Will his son be ok if he follows the rules, as Jig Saw promises? Watch the movie and find out.
