Mommies Should Receive Payment for All of Their Work at Home

To the mothers who have sacrificed their personal goals and dreams to raise their children so that no one else has to, I applaud you. To the mothers who don't value money over the development of your child, I applaud you. To mothers taking the right steps to rearing safe, loving and emotionally stable children, there is much to be said for your efforts. Now how can we get you paid for your work? It is so underestimated; Getting up early, cooking, changing diapers, refereeing fights, giving 100% of yourself to your little people and your little ones issues, some mothers do it depriving their own needs. This is more of a job than any CEO of a fortune 500 company could ever have; as a matter of fact, most CEO's have stay-at-home wives raising their children -as they would have it no other way. So why is it so hard to reward the most fragile and important of occupations? Don't we take care of disabled? And grant money to artists? Our country helps support lower income earning families everyday- but we haven't yet found a way to pay mothers who are actually raising their children. It's never a temporary position for a mother, there is no vacation time, and she is always working overtime often losing days of sleep. Mothers are known to make managerial decision at home each day, quick decisions, problem solving, on the spot critical troubleshooting and the job never ends. When we provide a way of living for the mothers who qualify as true nurturers and developers, there will be more mothers willing to take that responsibility and clock in at home. More mothers working at home reduces the high percentage of 'Latch Key Children' in our country, which reduces the high percentage of teen pregnancies, violence in schools, low academic grades and criminal activity due to lack of attention. Unfortunately there will be no great demand for so many daycare facilities, but there is still a need as many single parents may have no choice but to place their children in a facility; preventing these facilities from becoming over populated ; therefore concentrating on providing more detailed attention to the children occupying it. Paying mothers to work at home benefits us all.
