Russian Nazis On The Rise

It is difficult to imagine that anyone today is still living by Adolf Hitler's rules and policies, idolizing Nazism and working to purify one superior race. But it seems like Russian youngsters are increasingly rebelling against the world to cleanse their country of spreading minorities and protect their Russian identity. Hate crimes against Muslims, Jews, Caucasians, and all dark-skinned people have been on the rise lately.

Of course, this neo-Nazi movement has caused much commotion in Russia. Older generations who fought Hitler's Nazis through Operation Barbarossa in 1941 are bewildered by the new generation's praise of Hitler's views. But older generations are not the main target. Russian neo-Nazis are actively seeking to widen their scope and influence more people by recruiting young adults and instilling within them the slogan "Russia for Russians." Their main goal is to overthrow the government and unite Russians for the cause of expelling foreigners from their country permanently.

The most prominent Nazi group in Russia is Russian National Unity. They have a swastika of six rays as their symbol, and use greetings such as "Hail Russia," similar to the German Nazis' "Hail Hitler!" Even further, they attempt to reach the minds of other Russians through revolutionary songs that encourage national rebellion against the current governing regimen.

Several minorities of different religions and ethnicities have fallen victims to hate crimes, and have been protesting against Russian neo-Nazi discrimination for years. Simultaneously, Russian human rights groups are saying that racism is spreading among Russians at an alarming rate. Most Russians agree that foreigners have too much power, and a surprisingly high number of them consider neo-Nazis to be sanitizers of Russia.
