It looks like Courtney Love is ticked at Doc Marten. The famous easy wearing shoe company is using photographs of Joe Strummer, Kurt Cobain Sid Vicious, and Joey Ramone. What For? Their new advertising campaign for Doc Marten shoes is causing uproar.

Pictures of Joe Strummer, Kurt Cobain, Sid Vicious, and Joey Ramone grace magazine ads and television. People are angry with the Rock Stars that Doc Marten has decided to choose saying that it's blasphemy towards Christians and glorifies music, drugs, violence and death.

Why is it blasphemy? The advertisements show Joe Strummer, Kurt Cobain, Sid Vicious, and Joey Ramone in heaven. They're sitting on a cloud, dressed in heavenly garb and wearing you guessed it, Doc Martens. Slogans like

Joe Strummer, Kurt Cobain, Sid Vicious, and Joey Ramone haven't had the greatest pasts either. Joe Strummer was the co-founder of The Clash, in 1976. Kurt Cobain, lead singer of Nirvana, wrote dark and angry songs, struggled with drug addiction and committed suicide. Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols, was known for violence, and was hospitalized for Heroine toxicity. Last but not least, Joey Ramone of The Ramones.

Courtney Love is an up rage because of the use of Kurt Cobain's picture. Though she can't be to angry of the use of her late husbands pictures since she's still living and thriving off of Kurt Cobain's past.

This is just a bad case of one bad apple spoils the barrel. Both Joe Strummer and Joey Ramone died of natural causes. Joe Strummer in his later years worked on several projects to help those who were less fortunate in the world.

Honestly, Courtney Love is just angry that another company was making money off of the tragedy of her late husband Kurt Cobain. Unfortunately businesses have been doing it for years. Hit songs have been turned into commercials; someone's tragedy has been turned into comedy. Courtney Love should have just realized that Doc Martens are associated with rock, classic rock, punk and more. She should have gone to the advertisement company herself and worked with them.

I can't get enough of Courtney Love. Though I have to say she has every right to object, she can sell out her late husband's material as she sees fit.
